Position Overview

The Parking Attendant is a hands-on, outdoor role supporting traffic safety operations at major events. This role is more than parking. It’s operational safety leadership at scale, ensuring the smooth movement of vehicles and pedestrians while representing XA Security’s professional and guest-focused brand.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, interacting with people, staying active, and contributing to a professional team in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities

Traffic & Parking Operations

  • Direct vehicles to designated parking areas.

  • Safely guide pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

  • Set up and remove cones, barricades, and signage.

  • Follow site deployment plans and supervisor instructions.

  • Assist with traffic flow adjustments as needed.

Safety & Site Awareness

  • Monitor surroundings for hazards or congestion.

  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

  • Participate in field hazard assessments.

  • Report safety concerns or equipment issues promptly.

Guest Service

  • Greet guests professionally and warmly.

  • Provide directions and event information.

  • Maintain a calm, confident presence during high-volume periods.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid Flagging Certificate (required)

  • First Aid Certification (preferred)

  • Previous traffic control or event experience will be an asset

Pay

  • Starting from $18 per hour, based on experience

Schedule

  • Event-based and flexible, including:

  • Days, evenings, and occasional early mornings shifts

  • Weekdays, weekends, holidays, and on-call work

  • Hours vary based on event size and schedule
