Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a confident and approachable Security Team Lead to work with and support our security team in Olds, AB. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in front-facing roles, naturally connects with others, and takes pride in creating a welcoming environment while maintaining a strong security presence. You will be responsible for supporting and guiding a small team of guards, ensuring smooth daily operations, and acting as the main on-site contact for both staff and client. The right candidate brings a sense of community to every interaction and can represent our team with professionalism and warmth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to frontline security personnel.

  • Act as the first point of contact for on-site issues and escalate concerns to division manager as needed.

  • Ensure all team members adhere to company policies, site protocols, and health and safety standards.

  • Conduct site patrols and inspections to maintain a secure environment.

  • Complete incident reports, shift reports, and documentation accurately and promptly.

  • Responsible for on-site training of new staff.

  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service at all times.

Qualifications

  • Valid Alberta Security License (required)

  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification (required)

  • Valid AB Class 5 Driver’s License (required)

  • A minimum of 5 years of Canadian driving experience (required)

  • A minimum of 5 years of clean driving abstract, with no at fault claims or any demerits (required)

  • A minimum of 5 years of Claim Experience Letter for Canadian Automobile Insurance History (required)

  • Previous experience in a security team lead, or supervisory role (required)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills

  • Strong observation, problem-solving, and situational awareness skills

  • Comfortable working independently, staying calm in emergencies

  • A strong work ethic, respectful in all situations, and handle site issues with sound judgment

  • Physically able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods in all weather conditions

  • Experience using patrol route and/ or incident reporting software

  • Access to reliable transportation to and from work site

Pay: Start from $21.00 per hour

Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts

  • Day shifts/ Night shifts

  • Monday- Friday

  • Weekends/ Holidays

Additional Information:

  • Uniform provided

  • Boot allowance available
