Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a confident and approachable Security Team Lead to work with and support our security team in Olds, AB. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in front-facing roles, naturally connects with others, and takes pride in creating a welcoming environment while maintaining a strong security presence. You will be responsible for supporting and guiding a small team of guards, ensuring smooth daily operations, and acting as the main on-site contact for both staff and client. The right candidate brings a sense of community to every interaction and can represent our team with professionalism and warmth.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to frontline security personnel.
Act as the first point of contact for on-site issues and escalate concerns to division manager as needed.
Ensure all team members adhere to company policies, site protocols, and health and safety standards.
Conduct site patrols and inspections to maintain a secure environment.
Complete incident reports, shift reports, and documentation accurately and promptly.
Responsible for on-site training of new staff.
Maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service at all times.
Qualifications
Valid Alberta Security License (required)
Valid First Aid/CPR Certification (required)
Valid AB Class 5 Driver’s License (required)
A minimum of 5 years of Canadian driving experience (required)
A minimum of 5 years of clean driving abstract, with no at fault claims or any demerits (required)
A minimum of 5 years of Claim Experience Letter for Canadian Automobile Insurance History (required)
Previous experience in a security team lead, or supervisory role (required)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills
Strong observation, problem-solving, and situational awareness skills
Comfortable working independently, staying calm in emergencies
A strong work ethic, respectful in all situations, and handle site issues with sound judgment
Physically able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods in all weather conditions
Experience using patrol route and/ or incident reporting software
Access to reliable transportation to and from work site
Pay: Start from $21.00 per hour
Schedule
12-hour shifts
Day shifts/ Night shifts
Monday- Friday
Weekends/ Holidays
