Position Overview

The Patrol and Mobile Security Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all patrol and mobile security operations across sites in Alberta. This role provides operational leadership to field teams, ensures service excellence for clients, and supports business growth through effective people management, process improvement, and operational oversight.

This position works closely with senior leadership, clients, and internal teams to ensure patrol and mobile security services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight: Plan, coordinate, and manage patrol and mobile security services, including staff schedules, site coverage, and daily operations across sites.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage field staff; conduct performance evaluations, address employee relations matters, and foster a professional and safety-focused team culture.
Client Relations & Service Delivery: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, ensure service standards are met, and address operational issues efficiently.
Sales & Budget Support: Support business growth by identifying service expansion opportunities, preparing service estimates, and ensuring operational plans align with budgets and profitability goals.
Reporting & Administration: Oversee timesheets, incident reports, and operational documentation; support accurate invoicing and data tracking.
Investigations & Incident Management: Lead investigations into security incidents, policy violations, or client concerns; prepare thorough reports and implement corrective actions as needed.
Policy, Training & Safety: Implement policies, procedures, and training programs to improve consistency, compliance, and service quality; work with Health & Safety to maintain field-level compliance and safe operations.
Asset & Resource Management: Manage patrol vehicles, equipment, and uniforms to ensure readiness and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in security operations, patrol/mobile services, including a minimum of 2 years in leadership role
Demonstrated experience hiring, training, evaluating, and managing security personnel
Strong knowledge of scheduling, reporting, and operational planning
Proficiency with scheduling software, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office
Valid AB Security Licence (required)
Valid First Aid/CPR Certification (required)

A minimum of 5 years of Canadian driving experience (required)
A minimum of 5 years of clean driving abstract, with no at fault claims or any demerits (required)
A minimum of 5 years of Claim Experience Letter for Canadian Automobile Insurance History (required)
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call support as required

Work Environment

This role is based out of our Calgary office and includes regular travel to client sites. Most travel is within Calgary, with some patrol locations overseen throughout southern Alberta including Olds, Canmore etc. The position primarily follows a Monday to Friday schedule, though flexibility is required during peak event periods and weekends.
