XA Security is a leading provider of people-first security services across Alberta, delivering patrol, mobile, and on-site security for a diverse portfolio of clients. Our work is operationally complex, highly visible, and critical to client trust and public safety.
We operate in dynamic environments where strong leadership, clear processes, and calm decision-making matter.
Our culture is grounded in four core values:
Stay Calm – We bring clarity and steadiness in high-pressure situations.
Foster Curiosity – We question assumptions and improve systems that no longer scale.
Lead with Empathy – We manage people with respect, fairness, and accountability.
Be Pro – We act with integrity, professionalism, and pride in our work.
This is not a maintenance role.
This is a hands-on stabilization and systems leadership role.
The Manager, Patrol & Mobile Security Operations is responsible for bringing consistency, oversight, and structureto XA Security’s patrol and mobile operations across Calgary and Southern Alberta. While the operation is active and growing, processes, documentation, and oversight require strengthening and systemization.
You will inherit a real, working operation — not a blank slate — and will be expected to identify gaps, reduce risk, tighten execution, and build repeatable operational discipline while continuing to deliver service every day.
This role works closely with senior leadership, field supervisors, dispatch, clients, and finance to ensure patrol and mobile services are delivered safely, consistently, and profitably.
Operational Leadership & Stabilization
Take ownership of day-to-day patrol and mobile security operations across multiple sites.
Identify operational gaps, inconsistencies, and failure points in scheduling, coverage, reporting, and supervision.
Introduce clearer workflows, accountability structures, and operational standards.
Ensure reliable service delivery while stabilizing processes in a live operating environment.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
Recruit, onboard, train, and manage patrol and mobile security staff.
Set clear expectations and hold teams accountable for performance, conduct, and safety.
Address employee relations matters, performance issues, and disciplinary actions decisively and fairly.
Develop field supervisors and leads to improve consistency and oversight.
Client Service & Issue Resolution
Act as a senior escalation point for operational and client concerns.
Ensure service commitments are met and issues are resolved quickly and professionally.
Participate in client check-ins and support long-term relationship stability.
Scheduling, Reporting & Administration
Oversee schedules, timekeeping, patrol documentation, and incident reporting.
Ensure operational data is accurate, timely, and supports billing and performance tracking.
Improve consistency and quality of reporting across patrol teams.
Investigations, Compliance & Risk Management
Lead investigations into incidents, complaints, or policy violations.
Produce clear, defensible reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Ensure compliance with licensing, training, and safety requirements.
Process, Policy & Systems Improvement
Strengthen policies, SOPs, and training related to patrol and mobile operations.
Work with leadership to systemize oversight and reduce reliance on ad-hoc problem solving.
Support Health & Safety initiatives to improve field-level compliance.
Asset & Resource Oversight
Oversee patrol vehicles, equipment, and uniforms to ensure operational readiness and cost control.
Are comfortable stepping into imperfect but active operations and improving them.
Know how to fix systems without breaking service delivery.
Can balance people leadership with operational discipline.
Stay calm under pressure and make clear decisions with incomplete information.
Take ownership and don’t wait for permission to solve problems.
Prefer building order and structure over maintaining the status quo.
You are looking for a fully documented, turnkey operation.
You avoid conflict, accountability, or difficult personnel conversations.
You prefer strategy over hands-on operational leadership.
You expect systems, schedules, and reporting to already be clean and automated.
You are uncomfortable being responsible for fixing what isn’t working.
Minimum 5 years of experience in security operations, patrol/mobile services.
Minimum 2 years in a leadership or management role.
